How long will my order take?

That depends on what you've chosen. Ready-to-ship items — in-stock robes, slippers, hangers, garters and accessories — are processed within 1–2 business days and typically arrive within a week. Handmade-to-order items — our veils, robes without lace, printed and bell-sleeve robes, mini robes and personalised hangers — are made by hand, just for you. Veils take 3–6 weeks; robes and mini robes typically 7–10 days. We recommend ordering your veil at least 2 months before your wedding date.

Wedding sooner than that? Don't order and hope — contact us first and we'll do everything we can to meet your date.

How much is delivery?

R120 anywhere in South Africa — and free on orders of R1,500 or more. See Shipping & Delivery.

Do you deliver outside South Africa?

Not at the moment — we deliver within South Africa only.

What if something is out of stock?

We keep everything available to order. If an item you've ordered is temporarily out of stock we'll contact you straight away with a date, or offer an alternative.

Which veil length should I choose?

Length is measured from the comb to the hem. A 1m veil sits around the shoulders, 2m at the fingertips or just below, 3m sweeps the floor behind you, and 4m is a full cathedral train. Choose "Over face" if you'd like a blusher: an extra 70cm falls over the face from the comb. Not sure? Ask us before you order — or book a fitting and try them on.

White or ivory?

White is a true bright white; ivory (sometimes called off white) is softer and warmer, and suits most gowns described as ivory, cream or champagne. If you're unsure, send us a photo of your dress and we'll advise. White veils come on a silver comb and ivory veils on a gold comb — happy to swap, just ask.

Can I order something custom?

Yes. Custom veil lengths, robe colours, engraving and bespoke pieces are all possible — email hello@lovelace.co.za with what you have in mind.

Can I return or exchange something?

Ready-to-ship items can be returned within 7 days of delivery in their original, unworn condition. Handmade-to-order and personalised items are made specifically for you and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty. Please see our Refund policy.

How do I book a fitting?

Bridal consultations at the boutique are by appointment: 60 minutes, up to 4 guests, R250 consultation fee. Book online or contact us.
